Where do you see yourself in 5 years time? Interview Question and Answers
Do not let this question throw you off track
Most people with some interview experience under their belt, may have come across this “5-year forecast” interview question in the past.
This interview question seems to remain a convenient staple among interviewers as an insightful question into the prospective employee’s ideas and personalities regarding stability.
This article discusses the meaning behind the interview question “where do you see yourself 5 years from now?” and provides suggests on how to answer this question wisely.
This question can be asked in different ways in the job interview, for example:
“How does this job fit into your career goals/plans?” or “What are your career aspirations for the next three years?”
What do they want to hear? What do they want to hear when asking “Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?” question in an interview?
For employers, it is vital to ensure the hiring of employees who have the potential for further personal growth and are the best contributors.
Therefore, they are looking for those who have a clear mindset about what they wish to accomplish and most importantly those with a career plan – career goals and objectives.
Secondly, they would also want to observe whether the candidate is highly motivated toward the offered position.
Employers actually address two points:
• Is the candidate going to take any job offer (shooting in all directions..) or does he seriously consider his job search target and career objectives?
• Does he/she want to ‘get a foot in the door’ OR is he/she going to bring added value to the company?
They want to be able to rely on the fact that their employees share a common interest – building the company’s stature and remaining loyal to said company.
Read further…
Two Basic ResponsesThe interviewer would like to hear a precise answer as to – where do you see yourself 5 years from now and how do you plan on getting there?
Therefore, one should state a clear/realistic career vision -
For those who want to become experts in their field:
In 5 years time, I see myself progressing in (the field) and in (the company), learning new skills to the benefit of (the company). I find this (job position) extremely interesting and motivating. I can see many challenges lying ahead of me, which I am eager to experience. And therefore, I am willing to invest my 5 years time learning all aspects of the job towards professional advancement.
To sum up – I want to be an expert in my (field).
For managers or those who have ambitions to rise to management positions:
In 5 years, I see myself in a senior position (a team leader? high level executive?), having more responsibilities, coaching other employees and managing more people.
I am interested in pursuing my career based on (this company’s) goals.
I believe that being able to learn the company’s environment and investing in further business education will be in the company’s and my own interest.
A five-year plan to the best of your potential:The interviewer asks this question to give you the opportunity to share your goals.
In reality, nobody has the slightest idea what he will do in 5 years time, but at least one should have clear long term career goals.
“People with clear, written goals, accomplish far more in a shorter period of time than people without them could ever imagine.”
Brian Tracy

Why do you want to work for this Company? Interview question and answer
Many people wish to work at Google, Microsoft or at IBM because of the benefits.
Not many can make it. This article discusses one of the reasons…
I bet one of the key questions asked during their job interviews is:
“Why do you want to work here?”
STOP, it’s a tricky question!
The answer to the question “why do you want to work for our company?” is a key factor (make or break) in the company’s decision as to whether one would fit the position or not.
It appears that many companies – big companies, startup companies and even schools and institutes keep asking this question during an interview.
What does the employer want to know by asking this question?
The employer wishes to observe:
1. Are you going to take any job offer (shooting in all directions..) or did you seriously consider your job search target and career objectives?
2. What do you know about the company and this job? Have you done your homework?
3. Do you want to ‘get a foot in the door’ OR Are you going to bring added value to the company?
4. How do you see this job position matching your skills?
5. How do you select a specific company to work for? Are you selective in your job search?
Answering ” Why do you want to work for us” interview questionLet’s break down my suggested answer into 4 parts:
1. Express your interest in the company profile (based on your pre-research). Put across – how you are impressed by the company’s success, its products and its portfolio.
2. Present your knowledge of the workplace environment (the department) you applied to.
3. Demonstrate your enthusiasm to work for the company.
4. And (the most important part) how do you trust this company to be the best place to utilize your experience and skills for the benefit of the company.
It turned out to be a long-story answer… However, every part is important –
In your speech, you actually create a picture of yourself as an active-integral member of this organization who feels proud to contribute.
In addition, you demonstrate your interest and passion in working for the company AND how you see your skills being tailored to the job requirements.
Here is an example of your statement-
A question: “So, why do you want to work in our company? Or for this organization?”
Your answer: “This Company is a well known ABC industry leader. I have conducted web research and found/believe that DEF products and its future prospects are impressive and interesting/exciting.
I have always wanted to work at this company. The GHJ team is the team I’d be proud to work with. A place where my background/skills can be utilized and developed.”
You may add other reasons, explaining how your skills are best fit for the position.
Of course, the first thing one should do is conduct research before the job interview:
* Log on to the company web site and find important and relevant info that you may point out during the interview.
* One should also prepare a matching table that compares his or her background with the job requirements.
Two follow up questions could be – what do you know about our company? Or what do you want to know about our company?

Tell Me about Yourself” Interview Questions and Answers
Tell Me about Yourself” Interview Questions and Answers
In brief: “During a job interview, the interviewer can ask many questions. Some of the common questions are the ‘Tell Us about Yourself’ interview questions. Your answers to these questions are crucial. Make sure that you are prepared for these types of interview questions.”
A job interview is one of the most important personal interactions that an individual conducts. It is therefore of utmost importance that a person is well prepared for every aspect of a job interview. In fact, most of the interview time schedule is spent on many aspects of the tough interview questions – “Tell Me about Yourself” and your interview answers.
4 common “Tell Me about Yourself” interview questions and answers1. A brief summary of your personal details: You have to give your name, where you are from and a brief review of your resume. You may also provide any other personal detail that you choose to provide.
2. Education: You should tell the interviewer about your educational qualifications and any relevant miscellaneous educational qualifications that you might have amassed.
3. Professional experience: Standard questions during a job interview are “tell me about your professional experience”. Depending on whether you are a novice or an experienced professional, you should share your previous job experiences. If you are a novice, then, you could tell anything that you think would be relevant for the job. You may provide a scope of your educational capabilities and strengths or any of your hobbies, etc.
4. Your weaknesses and strengths: One of the tricky interview questions that you might be asked is “tell me about your weaknesses and/or strengths”. Therefore, you should prepare for such questions. A common mistake is to take strength and present it as a weakness. You should be honest. You may share one-two of your weaknesses and the way you have (successfully) corrected or handled these weaknesses. On the other hand, do not boast your strengths. Tell about some of your strengths as having a positive impact on your professional capabilities.
5 tips for “Tell Me about Yourself” interview answersTry to be as clear, precise and frank as possible. When interviewing and answering “tell me about yourself” questions, you should avoid common mistakes and stick to the facts as follows:
1. Keep the information crisp and relevant: One of the first things to remember is to keep the information crisp and relevant. Try to speak in short sentences and moreover, try to give them as much information as possible in the least amount of time. Here is a brief idea of what you would be saying:
2. Do not repeat information from the CV: You should ascertain that none of the information that you provide about yourself is repeated or duplicated from your curriculum vitae. Therefore, even your curriculum vitae should only contain the necessary and relevant information, while all other miscellaneous information should be disclosed during the ‘tell me about yourself’ answers.
3. Fabricated or false information: Another important thing that you should remember is that you should not give any fabricated or false information while answering the Tell Me about Yourself Interview question. Background checks today have become very important and strict. Companies are known to sack people even after years of working, simply on the basis of some false information provided to them during the initial interview.
4. Irrelevant and unnecessary information: It is very important that no irrelevant and unnecessary information is given out during the question. The question seems to be quite simple, but it is actually one of those make or break questions, from which an interviewee can never recover and hence loses the job opportunity.
5. Facts and figures: While telling about yourself, be prepared to be asked further questions about any facts and figures that you have provided. For example, if you have said that you have a Bachelor’s degree, make sure that you carry a copy of the same. Any information given without the relevant proof may be deemed suspicious and ambiguous.
6. Do Not Tell them about: You should not disclose too much information . You might tell the interviewer that your hobby is fishing, but telling about your last fishing trip in which you missed a big fish would be too much information, unless the interviewer is a big fishing fan and actually goads you into telling the details. Also, you should not give them too much information about your family members. Of course, you would have to inform them about the number of family members that you have, and whether they work or not, and if yes, where, those kinds of details, but telling them anything apart from that is not suggested.
These are just some of the aspects of the crucial “tell me about yourself” interview questions.

Answer To Why Should We Hire You
visit www.lagosjobville.com for more jobs
When it comes to job interviews, there are several questions that are not exactly work related, but are one of the major reasons why your job interview does not provide the results that are in your best interests.
One such question is: “why should we hire you?” Basically, this question is one of the important questions during an interview.
For one, the interview question “give us reasons to hire you”, “why should we employ you” or “what can you bring to our company” is something that differentiates the best candidates from the other good candidates.
This question is more often a surprise question to most individuals who are not as experienced in the process of the job interview. Also, this question works as a divider between the people who are just casually looking for a job and the people who are really seeking a job.
If a person does his or her homework in the right manner, he or she would certainly come across this question as one of the most frequently asked questions and may also know how to handle it.
Answer To Why Should We Hire You While answering this question, remember that the answer should not come across to be egotistical or be completely unrealistic. You should focus on providing reasons to hire you over someone else in the best way you can.
The following are some points to consider:
1. One of the best ways to answer this question is to make a short list of all your advantages and create a paragraph that would point out the positive aspects that you would bring to the new job position.
2. One of the points that you can raise is the similarity of the job profile you are aiming for at the company to the job profile you enjoyed in your previous job.
3. You can also draw the interviewer’s attention to your key skills and strengths, namely – quick learning, excellent communication skills, etc.
4. In addition, your professional ambitions should be made clear – the motivation and dedication that you have for the profession and the opening position.
5. Make sure that your answers do not come out to be too much about yourself or that they come across as conceited.
6. Your body language when you answer the question is important too. For example, your body language should make it clear that you have thought it over and given a carefully worded answer, instead of coming up with a made up, contrived answer.
While answering, firstly, take one of the job requirements, then focus on one of your related strengths/skills AND give a concrete example (a success story) based on your past experiences to support your point. Break the job requirements into fragments and continue in this manner.
For the last sentence, a phrase that can be used is:
The job is tailored to my (or- I will bring my) experience, knowledge base and abilities and I believe I can maximize my skills for the benefit of the company.
Other good phrases can be found at –
1. Why do you want this job.
2. Why did you choose this career.
3. Resume objective examples.
What can you bring to this company? In summing up this question, I believe that it wouldn’t be exaggerating to say that your answer is one of the crucial “make or break” moments in a job interview:
1. Before this question, you’ve already talked about your experience, your education, your strengths and weaknesses and your skills. What else can you say?
2. Keep in mind that other candidates probably answered this question and this is your best chance to distinguish yourself from the others.
3. “Why should I hire you?” – Here is your chance to perform – go and sell yourself!!
This question is not an open invitation to repeat and describe your profile. Your answer should not only focus on yourself – It should reflect back to the job requirements and to the company.
4. The interviewer wishes to observe what you can bring to the company – what your real value is.
Why are you the best person for the job? What can you contribute to this company? think smart..
They’re offering you a ladder to a professional career with a good salary and benefits. What are you offering them?

What to Say in a Job Interview
Hurry we just reloaded www.lagosjobville.com the latest and hottestjob search portal in Nigeria!Another initiative of the Babatunde Raji Fashola Government in Nigeria.
Posted By Admin@lagosjobville
Job interviews are short, crisp, and very important parts of your career.
A good interview can make your career and a bad interview can either offer you progress at best and seriously hamper your progress at worst.
Therefore, it is very important to be completely ready, and know what to say when you attend an interview.
In addition, whatever the post may be, or whatever the job position may be, you should clearly know what not to say in an interview.
What to Say in a Job Interview1. The art of listening
One of the first skills of a conversation, let alone an interview, is the art of listening. There is a major difference between hearing and listening. We hear music, an action in which we may miss some lyrics or some part of the music, but we hear what is important to us and what we should pay attention to. During an interview, one should remind oneself to hear, understand and keep in mind what the interviewer is saying.
2. When to speak
Also, during an interview, one should keep in mind when to speak and when not to. People who speak when not required stand a high risk of being branded a talkative person, or a person who does not think properly before he or she speaks out. Therefore, take the time to keep silent and listen to what the interviewers have to say. This is doubly important when you are facing more than one interviewer.
3. The information you provide
During an interview, how much information you give out is as important as how much information you retain. Also, try to remain as calm and confident as possible. Make sure that you do not fidget while answering any of the questions. Fidgeting will only make the interviewer think that you are bluffing the interview. Concentration and focus are quite important in a job interview.
4. Provide Facts
Make sure that you have a short fact to share about whatever you tell the interviewer. This will only add to your resume later. However, the fact should not be too long and boring. Remember, the interview is of a very short time span. Give such facts only if the interviewer asks you about it.
5. Relevancy
Additionally, make sure that your job interview focuses on relevancy. You should share any information relevant to your career, or the job profile in general, or even relevant to the interview. If the job requires certain abilities that you possess, make sure that your interview concentrates on those.
6. A team player
Make sure that you give the interviewers an idea that you are a team player. Being a team player means a lot in today’s corporate world. Also, once you have proven that you are a team player, you should try to put across the idea that you like to interact with your team members as well as other individuals on a general basis.
7. Motivation
Another important aspect to put across is that you like to know more about the companies that you work for, so that you better understand the workings of the company and hence contribute to the values of the company.
8. Future plans
Also, make sure that you tell them about any concrete ambition that you have.
9. Honest answers
Lastly, remember that an interview is just the beginning of the job and hiring process. There are several steps along the way where anything that you say will be checked and cross checked. Therefore make sure that you are completely honest about your answers.
What NOT to Say in a Job InterviewHere are some of the ‘don’t’s about appearing for an interview:
1. Private information
One of the biggest mistakes that people commit in an interview is giving out private information when it is not needed, or even when it is simply not asked.
2. Your weaknesses
Do not confess to any weaknesses that may put you in a bad light. If it were so bad, the interviewer would have already noticed it and not called you for an interview.
3. Past problems
Another major problem is created when people speak about the problems that they encountered while they were in their previous jobs. Also, do not try to tell them about any personal likes or dislikes that you may have. Make sure that you do not talk to them about your past disappointments, or anything negative that you have to tell about your previous organization you worked with.
4. The salary
Never discuss the salary unless and until you are asked about it. Salary negotiations are always carried out after receiving a job offer.
Therefore, saying the wrong things during the interview might cost you the job, while saying the right things might get you the job.
Additionally,
You might be thinking of some tricky questions asked during your job interview and how to handle these questions.
Here are the links to the site’s articles that suggest great answers to tough interview questions –
What to say in an interview:
* When asked about your weakness (or when asked about weaknesses)?
* About yourself (or when they ask you to tell about yourself)?
* What to say in an interview if you were fired?
What to Bring to an InterviewWhen it comes to getting ready for the interview, make sure that you have the following at hand:
1. Folders for holding all documents, from education to job profile.
2. You should also carry at least two pens.
3. Make sure that you have at least two copies of your resume.
4. If you are using any references, make sure that you have their contact details with you. Try to create a document that simplifies the connection between the company and your references.

How to Get a Bank Job-Stanbic is recruiting
posted by Admin@lagosjobville
Tucelcom 567
Consultant Customer Services
Position Description
Consultant Customer Service:
The Consultant Customer Service (Enquiries) is responsible for assisting customers with queries relating to their accounts such as statements, debit orders, collection of cheque books etc. Being the face of the Bank, the Consultant Customer Service represents the Bank and therefore Customer Service should be the ideal candidate’s absolute passion.
Customer Service:
The most consistent aspect of this job is people. A day in the life of the Consultant Customer Service begins and ends with interacting and serving the Banks customers. Within this context, having a love for, interest in and a tolerance of people of all ages, races, convictions and attitudes is key.
The catch phrase “customer care” and customer service are often heard but seldom really experienced. Some people naturally want to and are really talented at making others feel acknowledged, listened to, valued and heard. There are many ways of doing this but the result of friendly, competent and efficient service is always the same, a happy and loyal customer.
Position Requirements
Product Knowledge:
In order for the Consultant Customer Service to answer customer queries and to provide quality service, it is absolutely critical that he/she fully understands the different products of the Bank. The Consultant Customer Service also needs to identify and pass on cross selling and lead generation opportunities. Knowledge of the different products offered, together with having the ability and desire to keep up to date with the market and product changes, is a must. In addition, providing constructive feedback and recommendations on how to improve SBs services and products is valued.
Routine:
The Consultant Customer Service’s main function is to handle customer queries, hand out cheque books, MasterCards, ATM cards, stop payments/stop orders, provisional and collect statements, all functions which need to be conducted in line with very specific laid down procedures. Excellent customer service stems from doing things right the first time - an eye for detail is, therefore, imperative.
Compliance:
Banks work and operate within a very strict legal framework. The Consultant Customer Service needs to know and consistently apply these rules, processes and regulations across products and customers. Often this implies taking the time to explain the “red tape” to customers in a way that makes sense to the customers impacted.
We began this description by speaking about the people aspect of the role, well compliance can also be applied to people and relationships. Building trust through maintaining high levels of honesty and confidentiality is paramount to the values of the Bank and success of this role.
Are you a person who enjoys interacting with customers and who appreciates the idea of providing customers with information and products that will suit their specific needs? If this sounds like a role that can get you excited then select the “apply online” button to initiate your application.

How to Do what your love Doing
Gary Buslik
We just Reloaded,Hurry visit your Favorite website www.lagosjobville.com for more job Openings,www.lagosjobville.com is the Latest & Hottest web search Portal in Nigeria, another initiative of the Babatunde Raji Fashola Government in Lagos State!
When Gary Buslik graduated from college with a degree in English, his parents were concerned about how he'd earn a decent living. "It worried them to hear me quoting Shakespeare," he jokes.
More from CNNMoney.com:

• Why Don't More Women Get MBAs
Their fears were misplaced: Buslik went on to start an alarm company in Chicago that would eventually grow to $6 million in annual sales and earn him $500,000 a year. But he wasn't happy. "My passion was literature, not alarm systems," he says.
So when Buslik turned 50, in 1997, he sold his business (for several million bucks) in order to pursue that passion. With a recommendation from a pal who was an assistant dean, he got into the English Ph.D. program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In return for his work as a TA, the school waived his tuition.
Buslik graduated in 2007 and now teaches there part-time while writing books on the side. He makes just $13,500 a year, but "I've never regretted my decision," he says. "I'm content to be sending Shakespeare lovers into the world."
How He Did It
1. By Taking the First Good Offer

• Greece Debt Crisis Ignites Fears Worldwide

More from Yahoo! Finance
In putting his company up for sale, he didn't wait around for the best price. "I could've held out for more money," Buslik says, "but I wanted to get on with my plans."
2. By Investing Conservatively
Expecting slim future wages, Buslik paid off his mortgage and put much of his savings in ultra-safe I bonds, which are indexed to inflation.
3. By Drawing Down Cautiously
A divorce cut into his nest egg, but Buslik figures his savings will last him if he's careful. "I'm not a flashy guy," he says, noting that he still drives a 1986 Mercedes.
