LEGAL MANAGER
Roles and Responsibilities
• Provide legal advice on business issues
• Ensure legislative and regulatory compliance within the group
• Prepare and file statutory reports to relevant authorities
• Act as secretary to board meetings and meetings of shareholders
• Draft company contracts and review third party contracts
• Brief and liaise with external solicitors in respect to all suits/cases involving The Group and all other legal matters requiring the use of external legal advice
• Attend court proceedings involving the Group
• Negotiate contracts and deliberate on issues impacting The Group
• Network with all authorities and bodies including third parties involved in the oil and gas industry and power sector
• Assist in negotiating agreements on any project to be carried out by the SBUs with other parties
• Draft, review and interpret policies and procedures, regulations and all other internal agreements
• Develop strong relationships in communities where The Group operates
• Understand peculiarities associated with each community and proactively respond to issues that may arise
• Resolve disputes and issues emanating from projects within the
The Group
• Communicate periodically with notable individuals in communities affecting The Group’ work
