Arik Air commercial airline with head office in Lagos, Nigeria has announced vacancies for Ticketing & Reservation Officers (TROs). With no experience requirements, it is an opportunity for young and fresh graduates in any of the numerate courses.
Details of the TRO job announcement indicate that it is a job that requires customer interaction - providing the first impression to customers/passengers. Essentially it will provide support for sales and marketing activities of the airline. The job will also require a coordinated person with organizational ability. Position: Ticketing & Reservation Officers
The role specifics:
The TRO will provide frontline passenger services and make travel reservations and ticket sales at any of Arik Air's sales points.
The candidate shall support the Sales & Marketing functions in all ramifications and provide an effective customer service relationship that will be beneficial to the organization.
Principals Responsibilities
Takes passengers' request, and ensure that tickets are issued out promptly and accurately
Make reservations and advise on reservation status on or before flight departure.
Prepare tickets sales report and passenger manifest
Ensure that seats are not duplicated by coordinating all outlets
Assist in the rebooking of passengers during flight delays and cancellations
Candidate Specification
A good university Degree / HND in any numerate course
Airline or Travel Agency experience will be a added advantage
Computer literacy and knowledge of airline reservation system.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure without sacrificing quality and high level of accuracy
Ability to communicate effectively and engage difficult customers.
Shift work will be required.
