In the second half of 2002, Guaranty Trust Bank plc acquired a majority interest in Heritage Assurance, thereby increasing its paid up capital from N 3.6 million to N100.06 million, with a view to repositioning and transforming the Company.

Unit Head – Health Management Services, Head Office

Reporting to: Group Head.
Location: GTAssur Head Office, Lagos State.

Role Purpose

The team leader is expected to be an entrepreneurial team player who will provide leadership and guidance in the healthcare management industry with particular focus on international health management sector projecting the GTAssur/Oraclemed partnership as the number one service of choice in the Nigerian market.

The team leader is also expected to be a good team player with exceptional relationship management, business planning and development skills.

Responsibilities

Primarily market and sell Oraclemed International Health Plans and other ancillary services to institutional clients in both the private and public sectors.

Cross sell other GTAssur products and services to corporate organizations in the health services industry.

Participate in Product development, repackaging and customization as it relates to the healthcare management industry.
Provides market intelligence for product improvement/development to relevant units in the company

Leads the unit's relationship management activities.
Responsible for the growth of the company's client base in the healthcare management industry with particular reference to the international sector.
Identify and establish business relationship with potential clients across both public and private sectors with the later being the primary area of focus.

Carry out market and competitor research and analysis with via to attain and maintain leadership position for the GTAssur Oraclemed Brand
Prepares and presents the Unit Monthly Performance Report.
Responsible for the preparation and monitoring of the unit's budget.
Reviews weekly and monthly activities report.

Provides leadership and strategic direction for team members.
Train and develop competencies within the company to enable penetration into the retail market segment of international healthcare management sector.

Carries out any other assignment that might be delegated by the Divisional Director or Group Head, Corporate Business from time to time
Requirements


A 1st degree in any discipline

Excellent sales and negotiation skills

At least 4 years work experience of which 2 must have been spent in a sales leadership role

Proven history of generating revenue
A good track record of managing teams

Ability to understand and analyze figures
Good IT, budget and report writing skills
Good Communication and people skills
The ability to motivate and lead a team
Initiative and enthusiasm
Good planning and organizational skills
The ability to work calmly under pressure
